Promoting Sustainable Agriculture and Marketing through Youth Involvement (PSAMY) is a 3 year youth exchange project implemented by PELUM Kenya and FACHIG Trust, Zimbabwe.
Funding partner: Norwegian Agency for Exchange Corporation( NOREC)
Objective: To increase youth participation in sustainable agriculture and agricultural market value chains through knowledge and cultural exchanges between Kenyan and Zimbabwe.
Expected Results
- Participants have strengthened their leadership skills and capacity to disseminate knowledge and skills on Sustainable agriculture in 25 farmer groups.
- Participants have strengthened their leadership skills and capacity to disseminate knowledge and skills on formation of market Association to PELUM Kenya Member Organisation (Mos)
- Small holder farmers in 1 District with Increased knowledge and skills on sustainable agriculture practices.
- Small holder Farmers in PELUM Kenya network Increase their knowledge on value chain based marketing strategies for increased income from agriculture produce in 4 Counties ,Kenya .
- PELUM Kenya Increased institution knowledge on markets association and value chain development.
- FACHIG increases institution knowledge on sustainable agriculture practices and innovations.
- PELUM Kenya and FACHIG increased networking and partner collaboration.
