
Building Women & Youth-led Network Alliances for Agroecology and Organic Agriculture (WYNA)
Goal: To strengthen women and youth leadership in agroecology and organic agriculture, foster collaboration, and create green jobs and market opportunities through sustainable farming practices.

Specific Objectives
- Increase awareness of, perception of, and interest in, agroecology, organic agriculture, and agri-food systems, especially amongst women and youth.
- Strengthen capacity of young agri-food systems professionals in agroecology and organic agriculture practices and knowledge exchange, with an emphasis on entrepreneurship and market linkages especially amongst young women and youth.
- Boost self-confidence and improve professional skills of youth and female agri-food systems professionals, enabling them to take on leadership and entrepreneurial roles.
- Broaden awareness of the benefits of networks, especially the KCOA network, PELUM Kenya, CPF/AGSN and YPARD, resulting in increased participation, peer learning and sustained collaboration.
- Support youth-led innovation and knowledge exchange by creating spaces for experimentation, storytelling and co-creation within agroecology and organic agriculture.
- Facilitate access to decent employment and green entrepreneurship opportunities in agroecology and organic agriculture, contributing to rural transformation and youth retention in agriculture.
- Youth and Women’s leadership in agroecology and organic agriculture is nurtured, inspired, and fast-tracked for food transformation in Africa.
