Promoting Agroecology for School Feeding Programme (PASF)

Goal: Improving food security, nutrition and retention of pupils in public primary schools for livelihood improvement in Muranga County by 2028.

Overall Objectives:

  • Improve attendance and retention of pupils in 30 public schools.
  • Enhance local food systems through market access for agroecological farmers.
  • Increase adoption of agroecological practices among the local and school communities.
  • Enhance child nutrition and health through diverse, nutritious meals,
  • Improve academic performance of school pupils in Murang’a County.
  • Increase incomes of smallholder farmers linked to schools and local markets.
